Military Members
Military service members have to provide a copy of their military identification or any proof of their service. They also have to provide an earnings statement to Texas State. The LTC-101 completion certificate and any proof of shooting scores over the past ten years will also be submitted to the Department of Public Safety. The proof of shooting scores or any proof of weapons familiarization training should be submitted to the Department of Public Safety for getting the exemption from the shooting proficiency test and training. These all documents need to be submitted with the application form to the Department of Public Safety.
Retired Military Members or Veterans

Retired military members or veterans have to provide a DD-214 document that shows that they are honorably discharged from military duty or retired. They also have to provide a shooting card or proof of shooting score from the past 10 years record to get an exemption from the shooting training and test. They also have to submit all documents to the Department of Public Safety.
Benefits
Military Service Members from any State can get Texas LTC
Currently, a Texas license to carry is the best option for military service members. It does not matter in which state the military service member lives they still can get a Texas license to carry. Any resident from Texas approved 50 states of US can get a Texas license to carry. For getting a Texas license to carry or for renewing the permit a military service member or any civilian does not have to travel to Texas they can get their license to carry or renew it from their own state and from the ease of their homes. Military service members do not need a Texas State-issued driver’s license or any identification card.
Exemption from Shooting Proficiency Portion

The minimum age requirement set by Texas State for civilians to apply for the license to carry in Texas is 21 years or older. Anyone who is under 21 years of age is not eligible to apply. But Texas State provides benefits to military service members and the minimum age for military service members to apply for a license to carry in Texas is 18 years of age.
